Saudi Crown Prince Enhances Strategic Partnership by Meeting Indian President and Prime Minister


On September 11, 2023, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud engaged in meetings with Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. Later in the day, the Crown Prince and Modi convened for a meeting of the Saudi-India Strategic Partnership Council. The leaders also pledged to collaborate on addressing both regional and global challenges, such as climate change and terrorism.

In his address at the council meeting, the Crown Prince emphasized the historical and enduring nature of the relationship between Saudi Arabia and India. He underscored the mutually beneficial aspects of their partnership, which have been constructed on a foundation of cooperation and mutual understanding.

Additionally, the Crown Prince highlighted the significance of the Indian expatriate community in Saudi Arabia, acknowledging their substantial contributions to the Kingdom's economic advancement and development.

The Crown Prince and Modi concluded their meeting by signing a memorandum of understanding that outlined cooperation in the domains of trade, investment, energy, and security.
